The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus set a new first-weekend sales record, selling 13 million models, up from 10 million for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in the previous year.
Before the official unveiling, images of the iPhone 6S were leaked online. Although unofficial, the leaks confirmed several of the phone's features. Some of these leaked features included the iPhone 6S model that has 16 gigabytestorage, a new near-field communication processor, the new rose gold color, and fewer chips compared to the older models of the iPhone.
